New Logo for the History Center: A new name calls for a new logo.. and we have one!  We will be modifying the sign out in front of the building but the changes will be minor.

Bells, Belles, & Beaux Exhibit Opening: April 16th we held our second annual exhibit opening to kick off our new wedding dress exhibit. The event was spread across both floors of the Carnegie Library building and was standing room only for much of the night. Attendance is estimated to have reached over 400 people. The night was filled with music, delcious food, desserts and wine. Thank you to all of the vendors who made this event such a success!

SLOCHS named Grant Recipient: SLOCHS has been named a grant recipient for this year’s Central Coast Wine Classic. The grant money will be put toward archival supplies, conservation and all things collection related. This grant will make a significant difference to the state of our collection and our progress moving forward. So now we need to help them raise the money. Lamp post project complete: We have completed the lamppost project out on the front lawn of the museum building. Thanks to a very generous estate donation from Howard Louis, we now have a new way to let the public know what is going on inside the museum. The lamppost will hold two colorful banners that will change out with each exhibit. A special thanks to Applied Earthworks, Elise Wheeler, Thoma Electric, and Rademaker Design for helping us see this project through to the end.
