The History Center of San Luis Obispo County offers a variety of valuable volunteer opportunities, for public participation. The best part is that the History Center has a project for everyone. For example:
- If you like interacting with the public, you might enjoy being a docent or leading group tours at the Carnegie Library Museum or the Dallidet Adobe and Gardens.
- If you have a love for gardening and the outdoors, you may be interested in helping out at our historic Mediterranean style property, the Dallidet Adobe and Gardens.
- If you like to work independently, perhaps you would enjoy unlocking clues of the past by helping to catalog our historic archives and photo collection.
- Or perhaps you would like to put your talents and skills to work by joining one of our committees.
The History Center is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization where staff and volunteers work hand-in-hand to provide quality exhibits, programs, and events for the public. The History Center has projects for those looking for long term service opportunities, as well as those who are more inclined to one-day projects. Individuals and groups, of all ages, are welcome to take part in our volunteer opportunities.
