Dallidet Tours
Come and Stay a while!
The History Center of San Luis Obispo County is committed to providing educational tours to schools and tour groups. We would like to extend an invitation to all teachers, schools and tour operators to visit our two locations: the Museum and the Dallidet Adobe & Gardens. Group tours are available at both sites by appointment and all tours are offered free of charge. Reservations are required for school tour groups, and we suggest booking your tour at least one month in advance.
The Dallidet is located at 1185 Pacific Street and is a short 10 minute walk from the Carnegie Library. When you step through the gates, you are stepping back in time. Let our Docents take you through the life of the Dallidet family and the Adobe they called home for over 100 years. Find out how Frenchmen, Pierre Hyppolite Dallidet ended up settling in San Luis Obispo and how he became the first commercial winemaker on the central coast! Tour the inside of the adobe with all of the family’s original furnishings and belongings. Afterwards, enjoy lunch surrounded by the lush Mediterranean gardens planted by the Dallidet Family and maintained by our dedicated volunteer core.
